Catching up - Newborn ~ Danville, CA

I had the opportunity to take my friend's newborn baby girl's photos way back in May and after seeing them last weekend, I realized that I never posted them here.  So, without further delay, here is sweet Baby E!

I had the opportunity to shoot Olivia's senior portraits.  She is the little sister of a good friend of mine.  I've never done this kind of shoot and I couldn't be happier with the results.  I had so much fun and I hear Olivia enjoyed herself too!

Birthday boy

Here is Matthew at 5 years old.  I cannot believe he will be going to kindergarten in the fall.  

Sweet newborn and family

This is my good friend's baby.  It's taken me forever to post these!  I assisted Wendy VonSosen (see this post here http://wenderful.com/2011/03/baby-ethan-danville-newborn-photographer/ ). But then I came back about 2 days later to do some family shots.   I hope the wait was worth it! Introducing baby Ethan...

This is for the Grandparents

Three posts in one day, I'm on a roll, baby!  I have so much catching up to do it's not even funny.  These photos were for our Christmas card this year.  I got about 10 minutes of cooperation...so typical of my kids.  

Madison : better late than never

I took these photos way back in the summer!  (Yeah, I'm a little behind.) While we were on vacation with some friends, I wanted to get some practice in and I got my friend's daughter to agree to be my 'model'.  This is Madison, and she has already changed so much since I took these.  She is still just as beautiful though. Hope you enjoy!

This next one is my favorite. I love the haze, it reminds me so much of warm summer evenings.

My Niece and her Baptism photos

This is My Niece.  She is so adorable in her white dress.  I'm so very proud of her and making the decision to get baptized.

Christopher's new glasses

So Christopher needed glasses.  I get asked all the time how do you know when a 2 year old needs glasses.  Well, he was crossing his eyes, or one would work independently of the other one.  I knew from our experience with Emily that kids don't just cross their eyes, unless something is wrong.  My pediatrician didn't necessarily believe me, but gave me the referral anyway. Well guess what, he has the same thing as Emily, just not as bad. (Amblyopia, just because I knew I would get that question).  I felt bad because he was basically seeing in double. No wonder he seemed to be really clumsy.  Anyway, here he is in his 'gassies' as he calls them.  And telling you how I kept them on a 2 year old is something left for a whole different post.  (In case you are wondering, I found a great company that makes the best strap to keep them on, the company is called framehuggers, and the strap is called the headhugger.) I'm just glad those first few days are long gone, I was exhausted.
